Every week, kids from birth to 5th grade experience a safe, age-appropriate environment where the Bible is taught in a creative, fun and relevant way. We are passionate about teaching kids about Jesus in a way they understand.
Checking In Your Kids at Bayou Kids
We’re so glad you’re joining us! We want you to feel confident and at ease when you drop off your kids, so here’s what to expect on your first Sunday.
Where to Go
Bayou Kids welcomes children from infants through 5th grade. When you arrive, head down the main hallway and look to your left for the check-in desk. A friendly team member will be there to welcome you and walk you through everything.
Checking In
We use Planning Center Check-Ins to keep your kids safe and make drop-off simple. You’re welcome to sign up ahead of time using our online form, which gets your family set up before you arrive. If you’d rather wait until Sunday, that’s no problem at all. A team member will be happy to help you at the desk.
Here’s how it works:
We’ll create a quick family profile with your name, phone number, and your children’s names, grades, and any allergies or special needs we should know about. (If you filled out the form, this is already done.)
We’ll print a name tag for each child and a matching security tag for you.
Keep your security tag with you. You’ll need it at pickup, so we know your child goes home with the right person.
Once you’ve checked in once, future visits are even faster.
Where Your Kids Will Go
Downstairs
Infants through fully potty trained: These little ones stay in their classroom for the entire service.
Upstairs
Ages 3 to 5: These kids stay in their classroom for the entire service.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade: Your kids stay with you in the worship service through our time of worship. After worship, our Bayou Kids team will dismiss them to their classroom.
3rd through 5th grade: Same as above. They stay with you through worship, then head to their classroom after they’re dismissed.
Our team will happily point you in the right direction when you check in.
Picking Up Your Kids
When the service ends, return to the same check-in desk where you dropped off, no matter which class your child is in. Show your security tag to the team member on duty. They’ll match it to your child’s tag, and you’ll be on your way. If someone else is picking up your child, just give them your security tag.
