Each week at Bayou Church, dozens of people just like you give their time to serve. Whether it’s helping kids learn about Jesus on their level at B-Kids, greeting first-time guests, or pitching in behind the scenes with Production, every volunteer is making a difference at Bayou Church!

We know you’re busy, and a million things are competing for your time. But we also know you’ll meet new friends and grow in your relationship with Jesus when you start serving.

Find a place to serve

  • The Greeter Team creates a welcoming environment for everyone at Bayou Church by opening doors with a friendly smile and helping guests find their way around the church.

  • The Café Team cultivates a comfortable environment by preparing and serving coffee and other refreshments on Sundays and for other special events.

  • The Usher Team helps keep the worship experience comfortable through assisting guests in finding seats during service and by serving communion on Communion Sundays.

  • The Communion Team assists the usher team once a month through preparing the communion elements for Communion Sundays.

  • The safety team creates a safe environment for everyone attending Bayou Church through attentiveness to the church's spiritual and physical safety and responding to medical emergencies.

    Church membership and background check required.

  • The Prayer Team intercedes for all attending Bayou Church through praying over the church service, prayer requests, as well as being available to pray with those seeking prayer at the end of service.

    Church membership required.

  • The Worship Team creates an environment of praise on Sunday mornings by leading the church in worship through song using their vocal and instrumental giftings. Church membership and audition required.

  • The Media Team helps the worship team in creating an environment of praise by using technical and production abilities to attend to the audio mix, lighting, live stream, and presentation slides.  

  • The Bayou Kids team creates a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment on Sunday mornings for all young attenders ages 6 weeks – 5th grade. Church membership and background check required.

  • The Student Ministry Team creates a welcoming, safe, and biblically sound environment for the 6th – 12th grade students at Bayou Church by being a caring adult influence in their lives through serving in various roles on Wednesday nights. Church membership and background check required.

  • The Cleaning Team helps create an environment of good stewardship by staying after service to clean bathrooms and common areas by removing trash, vacuuming, sweeping, spot-mopping, etc. This team also meets periodically to do more thorough cleaning of the church.

  • The Grounds Team at Bayou Church creates an environment of good stewardship of our church building and property by maintaining the grounds and facilities through lawn and flower bed maintenance, tree trimming, and assisting with minor facility repairs. 

  • The Helps Team creates an environment of love and care for the church by organizing meals for bereavement services and sick church members as well as visiting elderly members and making hospital visits.

  • The Discussion Guide team equips the Small Group team leaders by helping to facilitate an environment of discipleship through creating discussion questions and ideas for each sermon that will be published to be used for group or individual studies. Church membership required.

  • The Admin Team creates a welcoming and orderly environment by assisting with church administration needs such as data entry, guest follow-up, record keeping, etc. Church membership and background check required.

  • The Finance Team creates an environment of good stewardship by counting the offerings, making deposits, recording donations, balancing budgets, and keeping financial records. Church membership and background check required. 

  • Web-Design 

    The Web-Design Team creates a welcoming and inviting environment by editing and updating the church website. 

    Content Editing 

    The Editing Team creates a comfortable environment for our online guests by editing the sermon video, creating thumbnails, editing and publishing the audio podcast, etc.

    Graphic Design

    The Graphic Design Team creates an inviting environment by creating graphics for sermon series, events, and announcements at Bayou Church. 

    Content Publishing 

    The Publishing Team creates an environment of outreach by writing, editing, and sending church newsletters, updating the church app, updating events on the website, etc.

    Church membership required.
